How To Add Program To Run Automatically At Startup In Windows 10

We can make any applications, file, link, folder or anything else to start with Windows (automatically launch when the computer boots up to a user account) by adding it to the Windows “Startup” folder.

How To Add A Program To Startup In Windows 10 For Current User

  1. Open user startup folder,by default it is located in:

    C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup 
     
  2. or you can open startup folder by hit Windows+R to open the “Run” box, type “shell:startup” and then press Enter.


  3. Copy a program and Paste the shortcut to startup folder

How To Add A Program To Startup In Windows 10 For All Users

If you wish to set a program to run on startup for all users accounts, create its shortcut in common startup folder,

  1. Open common startup folder,by default it is located in:

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp
  2. or you can open common startup folder by hit Windows+R to open the “Run” box, type “shell:Common Startup” and then press Enter.

  3. Copy a program and Paste the shortcut to startup folder
